Here's what families need to know to be ready for next school year:
Kindergarten Enrollment for 2026-27
Dates: Monday, Feb. 16, 2026 - Friday, Feb. 20, 2026
Location: District Administration Center, 72 W. Ninth Street, Fond du Lac
Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Extended Hours: Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026 (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
Students who are new to our district and not currently enrolled in Fond du Lac 4K or other early education programs need to enroll with proof of age and two forms of proof of residency. Please review the full details before enrollment week!
Out-Of-District Open Enrollment for 2026-27

How to Apply for Open Enrollment
Application Window: February 2, 2026 – April 30, 2026
Deadline: Applications must be submitted via the DPI Website by 4:00 p.m. on April 30, 2026.
Notification: Parents and guardians will receive written notification of approval or denial on or before June 5, 2026.
Resident Internal School Choice for 2026-27
The internal school choice application period for the Fond du Lac School District runs from Monday, February 2, 2026, to Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 4 PM. During this time, parents/guardians can apply for their child to attend a school outside their designated attendance area.
