Double the history! 🏆💪 Last night at our track meet, Alek Giese shattered his own school discus record, extending it to 126'8", while Jahara Posey broke the girls’ shot put record with a 34'8" throw, surpassing Gianna Trotter’s mark from 2018. I have no doubt that both of these athletes will extend these records with multiple meets left in our season! Legends in the making!

We didn't let the cold or wind stop us from getting outside and getting our first workout in! Track season has officially started and I can't wait to watch our kids grow as athletes in the weeks to come! 🏃♀️🏃♂️

Today we finished our Forward ELA Testing.🥳 Students worked incredibly hard and we are so proud of our scholars! Tomorrow and next week we will work with students to make up ELA sessions and school wide testing will begin again in the weeks after spring break (3/31-4/4)!😎

We completed our second day of Forward Testing this morning and only have 1 session of ELA testing left.🎉 Our scholars are working hard to do their best and show what they know. Remember, it is important that students are at school by 7:55 to begin testing.⏰

In preparation for Forward testing this week, 8th graders in Mrs. Barthuly's classes set testing goals for their ELA sessions!
Popular goals were getting enough sleep each night, remembering to charge their Chromebook, carefully reading every passage/question, and using the testing tools to help them focus and narrow down answers.
We've worked hard learning this school year in ELA and the next few days is our time to shine and show all we've learned!🌟

Good morning Wildcat families!! Tomorrow begins our Forward Testing. It is incredibly important that students are on time to school tomorrow and everyday. We invite students to dress for success tomorrow. This means students should rock an outfit that puts them in the ultimate test-taking mindset!

ATTENTION: Remember our Forward Testing starts right away tomorrow. Remind your scholar to get a good nights sleep and be on time to do their absolute best!

The current State school funding formula does not allow districts to keep up with the increasing costs associated with funding school operations. If districts need additional funds to support school operations, they must ask taxpayers for approval through an operational referendum.
This scenario is not unique to Fond du Lac. In fact, the majority of Wisconsin school districts currently have active referendums to fund operational needs.
The current budget projection shows a budget shortfall of $7-9 million per year over the next four years. This projection model assumes no new funding support from the State. While we are hopeful the State will provide additional funding to districts, we are forced to plan with the assumption of only having current funds. We are asking taxpayers to support additional funds to support school operations so that the District does not have to make major cuts to staff and programming, that would impact student learning.

The Fond du Lac Board of Education voted unanimously to go to referendum on April 1, 2025, asking taxpayers to authorize the District to exceed the revenue limit for four years for maintaining operations, maintenance expenses and providing for security upgrades in the District.
Over the next few months, the District will share more information about the referendum plan through our District website, social media, local news sources and direct mail. We encourage all residents to reach out with any questions about the referendum.
