We are celebrating Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week.
Our staff is incredible, and they make our schools shine. From classrooms to cafeterias, playgrounds to front offices, our staff light the way with heart, dedication and daily impact. Join us in thanking our staff–the stars who brighten our schools every day.

At the end of April, students from the Fond du Lac School District joined 1,000 participants from 30 districts at the 7th annual UW Oshkosh Mathematical Problem Solving Contest. The event challenged students with critical-thinking puzzles and offered a hands-on look at college life and academic programs.

-Team 2: Patrick Bohlman, Friede Klopp, Felix Troicki, Finn Waidelich — also competed in the FACE OFF! game show.
The STEM Academy team of Emma Town, Cricket Cowles, TR Block, Charle Wichowski narrowly missed the top 10% by just one point.

As a guest speaker in Fondy High’s AP Psychology class, Sue Mitchell Metz of NAMI Fond du Lac County shared insights on mental health awareness through the Ending the Silence program. We are proud of our students for participating in this important learning experience.

Today, Friday, April 25, 2025, Lakeshore students joined the City of Fond du Lac in celebrating Arbor Day by learning from local foresters about the importance of trees and how this day supports a better future. Thanks to Festival Foods for donating a tree and seedlings for students to plant. A little rain couldn’t hold back our students, who proudly planted the tree at Lakeside Park as part of the celebration. The City was also recognized with its 37th Tree City USA Award.

The future is bright, and it's right here in our classrooms! ✨
This beautiful handprint wreath, made by Miss Friess's students, reminds us that every child holds the potential to shape the world. We're so proud of our students and dedicated educators who inspire them every day.

Congratulations to FHS choir students Victoria Dietenberger, James Greicar and Macey Scoresby on their selection to the 2025 Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA) State Honors Mixed Choir. They join 100 of Wisconsin’s top student vocalists chosen from over 1,600 statewide auditions. Their hard work and talent will be showcased this October at the Wisconsin State Music Conference in Madison.

It may look like we’re just playing Twister…and yep, you’re right! Sometimes the brain just needs a little break from all the learning.”

Spring spirit was alive at STEM Academy this week with a creative and competitive twist — an all-school egg knocking tournament.
Each student was given a random hardboiled egg, which they decorated before competing. The competition began in classrooms, where students went head-to-head using both the pointed and rounded sides of their eggs to determine class champions.
Later in the week, class winners advanced to a grand championship round to crown all-school champions for both the pointed-side and rounded-side contests.
It was a festive way to celebrate the season, bring students together and enjoy some friendly competition.

At Lakeshore, students are given opportunities to hone their leadership skills daily with opportunities like the buddy system, where older students are paired with younger ones for activities like crafts and reading.
Lanson’s buddy is in second grade, and Lanson is proud to know he is making a difference by setting a positive example and preparing his buddy to be a future mentor.

Tomorrow’s the day. Nearly 1,000 student singers from every Fond du Lac School District school will unite for our Districtwide Choral Festival — a powerful celebration of music, connection, and community.
Today, we welcomed Dr. Zachary Durlam from UW-Milwaukee through our Artist in Residency program. After working with our high school choirs yesterday, he led inspiring, hands-on workshops with our elementary and middle school students. His passion and energy have elevated the entire week.
Join us Saturday, April 12, from 4–5p in the Fond du Lac High School Fieldhouse for a concert that brings our district together in song.

Kindergarten Teacher Kim Trent is changing outcomes. Her students may be small, but they are mighty. Kim doesn’t underestimate their capabilities. Instead, she recognizes they are capable of amazing things.
“Right now, I am setting one-on-one personal, individualized learning goals for my kindergarten students. A lot of people think that kindergarteners can't do that, that they're too young. They can't have goals and do goal setting. But here’s the thing: they can,” Kim says. “They're so excited when they do it. For example, they're coloring in their graph to show how many letters they've learned, and when they meet their goals, they're so excited that they hold up their graph so I can take a picture and share it with their parents.”
