Meet Darwin, an endlessly curious first-grader at Riverside Elementary School with big dreams of becoming a scientist. “I would like to be a scientist because there are so many other things to do and learn about the world,” Darwin says. “They can make gadgets, they can discover, and they can even find fossils by being an archeologist.” Even in first grade, Darwin is already building the skills he will need to accomplish his dream. His teacher has taught his class about setting goals, and Darwin’s main goal is to improve his listening skills. “To be a scientist, I need to listen very well, so I know what is happening and what is going on,” says Darwin. Your future scientist is learning at Fondy! Read the full story on Darwin here: www.fdlsd.org/page/future#darwin #Fondy #FondyChangesOutcomes #FondDuLac #CardinalFamily

If passed, the referendum will have the following estimated tax increase. For a fair market property value of $100,000, the portion of your property taxes that are allocated to the Fond du Lac School District would be projected to increase by the following: Year 1 - 2025-26: $92 per year or $7.67 per month Year 2 - 2026-27: $77 per year or $6.42 per month Year 3 - 2027-28: $54 per year or $4.50 per month Year 4 - 2028-29: $23 per year or $1.92 per month Note: Regardless if fair market property value increases, the total project cost remains the same. If this happens, the estimated tax will decrease accordingly. Additional funds from Years 1 and 2 will be used to invest in the security improvements needed at our buildings. The priority will be to add secure entrances, an updated camera system, and additional door security to the high school. Depending on the cost of the high school project, we would use additional money to add cameras to the middle schools and then the elementary schools. Please visit our website for details about the referendum including a tax calculator to help you understand the impact to you personally. Congratulations to Reghan Ziegler on a second-place finish at the WIAA State Wrestling Championship. Reghan had a remarkable season and earned the state runner-up title in the 235-pound class, representing Fond du Lac as girls wrestling continues to grow across Wisconsin. Reghan was joined at state by Quinton Ortegon (215-pound class) and Zander Scannell (190-pound class), who also qualified for the boys state wrestling tournament.
